Pastor Josh Burns has served faithfully in ministry as a Worship Pastor, Executive Pastor, and Lead Pastor, bringing a wealth of experience and a heart for discipleship to his leadership. He and his wife Amanda have a deep passion for seeing people grow in Christ, they are committed to guiding individuals on their spiritual journey and equipping them for impactful service. As the Lead Pastor of Courageous Church, he is driven to reach the community of Joshua, Johnson County, and beyond with the transformative message of Jesus. Pastor Josh’s vision is to inspire and mobilize the church to make a difference locally and globally for the glory of God.

Pastor J.W. Taylor has been faithfully serving in ministry since the age of 12, when he first accepted the call on his life while at youth camp. Over the years, he has led worship, served as a Children’s Pastor, Youth Pastor, and Associate Pastor, always with a heart focused on seeing souls saved. Passionate about his mission, J.W. often says his goal is to “unload hell and load heaven.” He and his wife Kelsea are proud parents to four beautiful children and love serving together at Courageous Church. A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, J.W. brings enthusiasm and dedication to both his ministry and his love for his team.

Alongside his amazing wife Jalen, Travis is part of the heartbeat of Courageous Church, where he leads worship and champions a vision of seeing lives transformed for the glory of God. Jalen and Travis are the ultimate dynamic duo—she’s the steady rhythm to his spontaneous melody, and together they’re living proof that God’s calling thrives in partnership. Whether it’s leading a congregation into powerful moments of worship or binge-watching their favorite sitcoms on their downtime, this couple knows how to keep it real and Christ-centered.
